Gary U.S. Bonds è stato un talentuoso cantante R&B, principale artefice del “Norfolk Sound” e uno dei più grandi artisti della sua epoca. Ha lasciato un segno indelebile nel rock e soul degli esordi con grandi successi come “New Orleans”, ”, “School Is Out” e “Quarter to Three”. Questo cd riunisce i primi due LP di Gary U.S. Bonds nella loro interezza: “Dance’ Til Quarter to Three” (1960) e “Twist Up Calypso” (1962).
