Per celebrare il 30° anniversario di WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT di Tina Turner, il 26 aprile uscirà una nuova serie di edizioni speciali dell’album. Il cofanetto 4CD/1DVD includerà l’album originale rimasterizzato nel CD1, mentre il CD2 conterrà una raccolta di edits, remix e versioni acapella. Il CD3 e il CD4 contengono lo spettacolo dal vivo di Tina al Blockbuster Pavilion del 1993 rimasterizzato, che può essere visto anche nel DVD insieme a tre video musicali. Il cofanetto include anche un poster e un libretto di 24 pagine. Pubblicato originariamente il 15 giugno 1993, WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT è stato un successo commerciale e di critica. L’album è stato la colonna sonora dell’omonimo film biografico di Tina Turner e ha raggiunto il primo posto nel Regno Unito, entrando anche nella top 10 in Svizzera, Germania, Austria, Canada e nella top 20 negli Stati Uniti. L’album è diventato disco di platino in tutto il mondo, compresi Regno Unito, Stati Uniti e Svizzera. Si tratta di una raccolta di canzoni, alcune delle quali ri-registrate dal periodo Ike & Tina Turner di Tina, tra cui “A Fool In Love”, oltre a cinque canzoni inedite, una delle quali – “I Don’t Wanna Fight” – è diventata una hit da top 10 sia nel Regno Unito che negli Stati Uniti. L’album include anche la versione della Turner del classico disco dei The Trammps “Disco Inferno”, una canzone che aveva spesso eseguito dal vivo in concerto alla fine degli anni Settanta ma che non aveva mai registrato in studio. Sono inclusi anche due brani tratti dall’album solista PRIVATE DANCER del 1984, la title track e una diversa versione remixata di “I Might Have Been Queen”.
